Winter snows begin to blow across the barren lands,
When the night fell we could tell what was in store for us,
This bitter cold for I was told would make it's bold demand,
We could survive if strived and strived for we knew we must.

We were poor and had not more than what the Lord had given,
For faith and strength we made it through all the winters before,
It takes so much to meet life's demands and be very hard driven.
Without the food to make it through it touched our very core.

Our children cried for thry knew not why we could not provide theirs needs,
And as the winter grew into a furious brew, we got to our knees and prayed,
"Dear Lord grant the little we only need to put food on the table please",
Be kind Oh Lord and look not away from the faces that love thee.

As we arose there was a knock on the door,
I wondered who could this be,
I peaked outside and to my surprise God had supplied our needs,
On the ground were box's of clothes and food to last the winter,
I fell to my knee's and thanked the Lord for these gifts which were given.

Roselee,
Good words, good thoughts, good internal rhyme, good poem.

Great internal rhyme scheme, excellently done, and pulled off with an extraordinary message of power, persiverence, and faith.  Many applauds.
