Blue Sewing Notions
~*Marge Tindal*~

Threads in a basket not yet used
wrapped on spools and bobbins
waiting the needles' eye
to weave the magic
of a tapestry
of friendship
Snippets of
eyelet lace
that should
have decorated a
quilt of our yesterdays
A button or two I could have
used to close the gap between us
before the cushion of pain grew too ~

                             l
                           e
                   d
              ~
A package of mending tape
that perhaps could have
hemmed the bridge of our unraveling
Taped measures of just how far
we'd drifted apart
Pins of pain attach themselves
to a small cushion of safety
A thimble of tears I shed
at the scissoring of our memories
As I lay out the pattern I realize
I'd make a lousy seamstress

Marge-What can't be sewn or mended can always be glued together and called a work of art.  I liked this one very much.

My sweet friend, NO ONE is a better seamstress than you.  You can not be faulted for a single spool of inferior thread.  We all have those show up to us eventually.  No reason, just a reminder now and then that we are human.  Excellent read my dear friend.  So have you missed me as much as I have missed being around as much.   Ya better say yes LOL

Hi my wonderful Lady,

No stitching for me,fumble fingers all of the way, but you have stitched a heart felt beauty here my friend, I personally think your heart strings that have gone out from you to all of the souls here at passions make a quilt of many colors, heavly intertwind through out with loving kindness not measureble, I for one am in debt to you for so much that you personally have done for me and I love you much and prey for you often, be well friend of mine.

Love, Cerenity

Aw, shucks ... I don't know ...
I just have these maniacal muses that
play with my thoughts.

I opened the sewing basket and saw a plethora
of items
that the muses gathered and flung at me until it wrote itself.

Thank you for the wonderful compliment.
Makes me love what I do even more !

You are unbelievable, what great grasp of inner feelings. It only takes a very thin thread to keep people together. Love it so much.

How creative! I would have loved this even without the visuals, but what a wonderful difference they make! Sorrow and remorse figured beautifully into this metaphor.

I appreciate your comments.
I do try to be aware of the feelings of many
and mingle them with my own in my writing.
Thank you for letting me know you enjoy.

ElizabethCor~
Thank you for the kind thoughts.
It is indeed a sorrow when friendship
lays in tatters ...
when perhaps a little seaming would have worked to fix it.
