I've written how I feel
I've written what you do
Spoke of us together
So that maybe you've a clue

But I need to tell you more
Tell you what you are to me
Speak of more than beauty
And how you set me free

You've heard I love your fragrance
And how it stains the night
You know your voice enchants me
And brings me such delight

But I need to tell you more
Tell you what you are to me
Speak of more than beauty
And why I feel such glee

You're softness so personified
You're laughter's liquid pearls
You're the love that's come to life in me
You're all woman and all girls

But I need to tell you more
Tell you all you are to me
Speak of more than charming
And more than ecstasy

You're cool and limpid pools
You're crashing boiling waves
You're soft and tender kisses
You're all this poor heart craves

And I need to tell you more
Tell what you bring my life
Speak of all the comfort
And how you end my strife

You're piano's warm arpeggios
A Soprano's passionate song
Music for my heartstrings
Birds warbling all day long

Yet I must tell you more
Tell you all the things you do
Speak of all the good things
Why with you I'm never blue

A painter's dream on canvas
A sculptor's dream in stone
Beyond rainbows, beyond stars
Beyond a royal throne

Salome's dance, that magic chance
The seventh veil, the pine lined trail
Canapes and TV trays
Popcorn, steak, the last great sale

Chilled dry wine, the kiss sublime
Warm nights of never-ending
Frosty windows, fire in hearth
Hot toddies richly blending

Conversations streaked with love
Bound by hugs of bliss
Caresses soft as eiderdown
Cemented with a kiss

Now you know how I feel
And you know what you do
Know what you are to me
I think maybe you've a clue

Sir Poet Bill*
This is absolutely breathtaking...you are
going to sweep the women off their feet with
this...you have me floating on clouds and
it's not even for me...lol  You know how to
make someone feel special that's for
sure...a gentleman and a poet a duet that no
woman stands a chance against

Bill--This poem is so tender and full of love...I'm sure your beloved is touched by the feelings of your heart, as I am.

Paula what a wonderful thing for you to do, because I missed it the first time 'round, too...

and...wow...

Karilea
If I whisper, will you listen?...
I would rather be silent and write, then speak loudly and be bound.
