Islands of wildflowers carpet the meadows
japanese bloodgrass..bleeding with hue
the fog in the morn curtseys to the sun
painting the skies, cobalt blue
taste of honey dew fresh upon moist lips
succulent as her lover in the night
savoring each bite of honey dew melon
as her lover savored her in moonlight
french vanilla coffee filled to the brim
steamy as her shower..sharing with him
her tongue gently stirs within the cup
thinking of his words.."honey ease up"
Islands of wildflowers carpet the meadows
she ravishes her coffee.. and then swallows

A poem is never finished, only abandoned.

Victoria, sometimes I read other poets work here and think "why can't I write like that?" This is one of those times. Your choice of words and the images you convey amaze me. Thank you for posting this one, I really enjoyed it.
