The angels saw you reach for me
did you hear them sigh?
The stars saw you hold me
as the night passed slowly by.
~*~
The moon saw you heal me
did you feel it paint a tear?
The raindrops heard you soothe me
as you chased away my fear.
~*~
The wind felt you send a kiss to me
did you feel it laugh as you blew?
The sunrise felt you touch me
as it blushed with a rosy hue.
~*~
The trees heard you tease me
did you see them dance and sway?
The blossoms tasted as you mended me
upon the dew drops their petals lay.
~*~
The butterflies saw you release me
did you see them cry?
The heavens felt you love me
as they darkened with Good-bye.
~*~

Dear Poets,
I can finally come home without hiding within the walls, Thank you for understanding and being here to open the door when I knocked.

My sweet friend and butterfly, first off you know it makes my heart smile to see you with us again and the above is why my heart will forever sing.  There never will be a "good-bye" in what has been shared, only the tomorrows of promise that for now have just been placed in safety's rest.  My step will be lighter today as I dance around in all I must do.  Hugs to you my sweet butterfly and so much much more.  You know this do you not?  Yes, I know you do.

Holly,

Beautiful!! This was full of such love and open honest emotion. To say it touched me would be an understatement.

"The butterflies saw you release me
did you see them cry?
The heavens felt you love me
as they darkened with Good-bye."

This is my favorite line...but the whole piece is just stunning! Excellent!

Love,
Amy
P.S. Glad to see you're back...and my offer still lies on the table. Take care sweetie.

What a wonderful surprise to pop back in after a short sabbatical (did I spell that right?) and see you back. Some people write poems that seem to go right from the heart of the writer to the heart of the reader. To put the feeling that you have into an area of the readers heart where they can feel it almost as the writer does.

Hey, Butterflies!  You've actually brought tears to my eyes, but I'm a little emotional today, anyhow!
But it was still absolutely beautiful!
Welcome back!

I sensed a great deal from this poem besides just its beauty Holly.  I felt relief, love and a final peace within as well.  I am so glad to see you posting again and even more so to feel the demons from within finally resting and in time descending...

Hugs to you, my friend and never let go of your new found strength.
