(a revision of an earlier poem)

Don't shamble through time, let your soul go free,
Your surroundings, your work are not your soul
Within you should be all you want to be
Reaching these heights should be your greatest goal

Our souls aren't always our surface you see
They're not always the moral we'd have them be
Logic fails at times as you will agree
But they are the essence the roots of our tree

So when you conform, hide you from your love
Or your love does the same: hides from you
Fulfillment fails, doesn't come from above
And the romance falls short till you do

When two lovers share fully it is true
Then they are soul mates off in the blue

~You have to have a dream so you can get up in the morning.

~ Billy Wilder

yea, Bill

If I could only write verse like you. I seem to have captured something different. But you can be sure I most likely get most of my ideas from poets as you. So don't ever lose it, it might mess up my life.

best wushes, dale

Paula - Lucky

I've been reading a book titled "SoulMates" off and on - and the writer has much wisdom - that is where this sonnet came from. Thank you both

Vicky - Martie - Nan -

I began reading Thomas Moore's Writings on Soul Mates back in January and found his studies and analysis very good. This is just one product of those readings - Thank you
