Have You Ever?

Have you ever loved someone so much,
That it made you cry?

Have you ever put on a happy face
Though, in your heart, you wanted to die?

Have you ever wanted to tell someone you loved them,
But couldn’t find the words to say?

Have you ever found those words,
But it was the moment when silent, he lay?

Have you ever lost someone
And there wasn’t anything you could possibly do?

Have you ever held on to a memory so tight,
That in your grasp, you couldn’t remember it was true?

Have you ever loved someone so much
That it made you cry?

And then, to that one who mattered,
Suddenly had to say good-bye?
