Wondering Where

I sit here in the late hours of night
Wondering where my muse went
I stare at the soft glow of the sceen
As it mocks me, void of words
Random thoughts scatter through
My hazy tired mind, struggling
To make a poetic connection
Trying to weave words of hope
Or sorrow, or happiness, whatever flows
But there is nothing as my fingers
Rest anxiously on the keyboard
Frustration grows as I wait endlessly
With nothing but the tic toc of the clock
Reminding me of the time that
Keeps passing me by as morning comes
With disappointment and sadness
I finally resign for the night
Hoping that inspiration might
Be kind enough to slip into my dreams
And awaken my muse once again

I know I haven't been here for the past couple of days.. but as you can see by the above post.. writing has not been coming easily for me at the moment.  Hopefully it will get easier.. and I promise to be good and respond to your poems more..hehe.
