streaming ...

rain clouds dance over top of my head
holding arms in do-si-do’s ballet
scrambling with a wind at their backs
their rushing led by the sky’s valet

emerald canvas stretched over mountain tops
the break of sienna and bark holding still
inviting wings of red feathers and stings
dreams to fly and soar my aerial thrill

sparkling spring running its spindly length
rapid's froth building in eddy's sloe depths
aquamarine shimmers 'neath quivering feet
rocks with fur under a watering swept

streaming broken beams of warming rays
splashing upon my face 'til comfort calls
the day awakens to gently greet
angler’s homing heaven, sans walls

a sporting cast towards a quarry’s hold
sinking gold reflects its catching intent
spinning blades of enticing wet feasts
come away empty, yet never to resent

the second try hits a hiding mark
luring a smash and the fight ensues
freedom names both, winners for the day
a streaming return, it imbues
