(another fantasy   )

We’re lying side by side
Your eyes closed
Your breathing slow and even
And you needed some rest I knew
You said, “I’ll just close my eyes for a bit”
We’d made love for hours
Neither willing to be satisfied easily
Or accept that the next could be delayed
Unable to satiate our hunger
Who dreamed it would be so long before we met?

The first touch … the first kiss...
The chance to see
See the emotion behind the words
Read the eyes alive before us
See the truth of love so long denied

I’m treasuring
Even as you’ve drifted to sleep...
Your fingers still clutching mine...
Clinging to hold onto
The reassurance I’ll be there
When you wake...

I can sense
You feel my eyes watch you,
You open yours to see mine
Looking at you...
See me smiling broadly...
My head propped on my hand
Elbow stiff against my pillow

Seeing my grinning ...you smile and say,
"What are you thinking?" like you knew
And I’m speechless
How can I give speech to this plethora of thoughts?
How do I express all I’m feeling right now?

You see the stammer in my look
My mouth opens silently
Finally I just kiss your fingers
And say, "Thank you sweetheart"
As tears well up in my eyes
So happy just to be with you
So happy that all my fears
Your reaction to me
The electricity
So apparent on the wires,
So clear in the words we exchanged
Were verified as we lay here
And I say,
“Face to face...I feel at this moment
I am the luckiest, sexiest man in the whole world”
You hold me tight
And I realize
You knew
You knew months before this meeting
And know even now, what I'm thankful for

~You have to have a dream so you can get up in the morning.

~*Sigh*~
Oh to be so deeply in love and to be loved to much!
What a warm and loving piece you've penned.
What a wonderful thought and feeling!
This is a perfect fantasy Wilfred.

The depth of Love is a Treasure. Your words speak loudly of this. Be assured that Love given without expecting any return is the truest Love of all. Thank you for sharing here your peace and your heart.

Do not worship the beauty of me. Worship truth, peace, and the spinning and weaving of plenty. Life can be full. Do not think otherwise and settle for

This is so loving and real, doesn't feel like a fantasy at all. Or if it is it's a dream we most of us share.

I really like this it's a great poem.

Bill--This poem breaths with such reality in all its sensory and sensual detail that it is hard to believe it is just a fantasy..

Martie, I believe you are right. This is all too real. It's something that really happened or is happening. Written in such a natural style.
A beautiful and warm poem, Bill

Janet Marie-
I did read - and thanks twice - and I agree you're right - JMHO but anyone not feeling this way about it I think a fool

Sheri-
The feeling - is better than a good cup of coffee on a frosty morning - I can carry it all day without being 'wired'. Thank you.

Athena -
once again welcome and thank you. Love is not love until it is given away.

Marsha-
you've expressed my feelings exactly - Thank you

Martie-
It's really simple - I'm in love and I've a vivid imagination. Thank you

Liz-
If I could but make it real - it would become so in a heartbeat - it has simply been generated by my imagination. Thank you

Paula -
Making it true will be a miracle
Thank you

Vicky-
My online time has been severly limited - I'll try to communicate better ~S~ thank you
