Falling Waters

The sound of falling waters from the stream
Cascading down in torrents crystalline
Unlike the silence of a tear upon the cheek
So turbulent, the waters of the creek

Gushing with such violence and force
Between the granite rocks they find their course
Unlike the pathway of a teardrop from the eye
Or a raindrop tumbling downward from the sky

The glassy waters roar in ecstasy
And flow in diamond brilliance endlessly
Unlike my heart that plunged in silent pain
Intense are swollen waters from the rain

Falling waters, ever tumbling , ever pure
Descending from the heights forever more
Spilling out the laden rim of sorrow’s cup
The diamond brilliance of a tear won’t interrupt

The falling waters, crystal waters from above
Unlike a teardrop rising out of love
A tender path across a silent cheek
So gently falls as I sit by the creek

So mesmerizing is the sound and sight
Of falling waters on a lovely moonlit night

Beauty mixed with torn emotion...WOW..only you could mix them together so well and make it sound so sweet.  Care for a moonlight swim?  You alredy know I love it but I will say it anyway.  I LOVE IT....your writing is so exquisite ALL THE TIME.  I don't believe I ever read a piece of yours that wasn't.

Elizabeth,
I can see the tear drops in your eye
And it hurts me so to see you cry.
Wonderful poem.
Love Sy

I had to read this twice, such beauty

Sometimes you have to let go and move on,
But never let go of the memories.

Maesha, Thank you for reading

Charisma, Thanks for reading several times

Mark, THank you for your kind comments. For your information, I've got a lot of really bad poems that I wrote in a file called "other". I could show you how really bad it can be. But thanks , sweet Mark.

Sy, I'm not really crying. "It's just a poem"
But thank you for caring

Maria, Thank you so much

Liz
