'she's lonely'...

the words echo
over and over
in my mind

you speak the truth
but how did you know

once again
my eyes have revealed
what my lips
were unable to utter

though my voice
remained silent
my eyes spoke to you
and you listened to them
intently

you heard
you understood
you knew

'she's lonely'...

the words continue
to haunt me
as i slowly close my eyes
and hide
within the safety
of an empty soul

So my friend...does today find you happier than when you wrote this?  I sincerely hope so...but just in case, How about a big ole cowboy {{{{HUG}}}}   Don't know how I missed this one but it does happen...I am only here reading 22 out of the 24 hours in day most of the time...but lately it has been put down to about 20....that must be it.  So are you smiling yet?

There is always a reason for the ones that
can read our eyes...it's a gift few
have...you penned this honestly and although
it was sad, you said the next day was
better...the power of poetry and friends~

Vicky,

Feelings like this can be very powerful at times.  So glad to hear that you are feeling better my friend.  Sad writing, but very good.

I too, have known those seasons of emptiness and sorrow.  Well put, my friend, and I'm glad to know you're feeling better.

Vicky...
Lonliness is such a sad state of mind, but it's not a stranger to any one of us. Aren't we lucky that we a place to go where friends gather, where we can share?
You did a good job writing about a hard subject, my friend!
