Catch A Memory
~*Marge Tindal*~

Catch that memory
as it floats by
Squeeze it
Please it
Wring it dry

Play it
Say it
Cry it
Don't just rush on by it

Yours for the taking
tears it will be making
Cry 'em
Shed 'em
Dry 'em
Spread 'em

Now go on
catch a memory
as it floats past
squeezing
is pleasing
until
it's the last
teardrop
left
within
you
to
cry

Marge, my friend-
  This is so beautiful, and so touching.
  Even though the memories are sometimes
  painful, we need them to survive; and
  without the pain, how are we to recognize
  and appreciate the happiness.

  So good to see a new post from you.
  My thoughts and prayers continue to
  be with you, my friend.

  love and hugs,
          -vicky

I love this Marge! Each memory deserves our utmost attention, savour it and reach into the depths until spent ... only then, can we move on to the next. Beautiful writing Marge!

Best wishes,
/Kit

Marge~
You've said this perfectly and tenderly
Memories are to be held and as tight as can be, never to be let go of.
Without our memories we have nothing
well written and said
Love ya Marge
Tracie~

Memories woven
Memories spun
Memories entwined into one
~~~
A lifetime of memories
Bound an wrapped up tight
Only to be opened
In dead of night
~~~
When in the dark
I need them to keep
To warm me and give me
The comfort I seek
~~~
My memories are all that I have
To keep me alive
Keep my soul soaring
My heart beating in time
~~~
Memories woven, spun
And entwined
Locked and bound
In the depth of my mind
~~~
Love is the life of the soul...
It is the harmony of the universe
Marge-A memory filled with all these feelings should be caught and chained to not be let go of.  Very nicely done.
Beautiful Marg! Exactly how I look at things. Feel 'em and let 'em go. There is always sweet mixed in with any bitter.
Well said my friend.
When you are old and grey and full of sleep,
And nodding by the fire, take down this book,
And slowly read, and dream of the soft look
Your eyes had once, and of their shodows deep;
How many loved your moments of glad grace,
And loved your beauty with love false or true,
But one man loved the pilgrim soul in you,
And loved the sorrows of your changing face...
Ah those precious memories Marge....and when you find yourself smiling through those tears, that's when we realize just how treasured the memories are.  So much feeling, written as always, beautifully.  Bonnie
An old (I never knew her young) maiden aunt I had - (long since dead)  would often quote a verse to me:
When you get old and cannot see
Put on your specs and think of me
(And I do) - a Memory of her I treasure is laying in bed with her early sunday mornings - reading the funnies and listening to the 'Blue Rabbit Bus' on the radio... I must have been 7 or less
Memories
found in the
words we have
shared will always
be with
me in everyday
of my life
Each time I walk
in a meadow
I will think of you
and the memory will
be there to remind
me of the times
we hold true
Marge my friend, I have many memories and since being in Passions I have been blessed with so many more HAPPY ones because of you and you wonderful heart.  Hugs and love to you my friend.
Such strength in these words, Marge!  Some memories come unbidden - the kind you resist because you don't want to recall, but they do have to come and you do have to cry.
Well said, dear lady.
Marge,
what a wonderfully written memento.
Memories come to us,
we pick at them,
we often cherish them,
we store them away.
They are like boomerangs,
always returning.
Marge this is marvellous a really beautiful poem.
One of my favourite sayings, and I've no idea where it came from, is
'memories are the paints we use to colour in our lives'
and it always reminds me of rainbows, a lovely piece of work Marge. I love this.
