Sing a song to me my dear before I go to sleep
Sing it soft and make it mine forever here to keep.
The sweet caress of your own voice, the calming words and tone
Would make the most unwilling heart turn to soft from stone.
Your voice will carry me away to far and distant lands
Where jesters dance for kings and queens and castles large and grand.
Tell me of courageous knights and damsels in distress
And also of the peasant boy, and of the fair princess.
Weave stories of the long lost days and of the heroes strong.
Please make the time before I sleep just not seem quite as long.

Abra~

Beautiful poem.  It had a lot of meaning, and it held my attention a lot.  Wonderful job.  This is one of the best poems I've read in a long time.

This is so very beautiful Abra.  I don't know if you know me or not, but I'm a friend of Keith's and Cassie's.  Anyways, well written, I enjoyed this!
