Soliloquy

I shall be content
if only in my mind
because there is this,
my strength,
to carry me through…

and if I should only thus
reside in my mentality
and quiet voices,
it is my strength
and it will carry me through…

in trying to be all to
everyone I am losing out
on what I could give myself
but if I rely on my strength
it will carry me through

sometimes we have to be
selfish, a little, isn't that
correct? isn't that something
we have to rely on, our strength
to carry us through?

should I get lost, somehow,
then, in these recesses of
senses and emotions
I will then turn to my strength
and he will get me through

for he loves me, after all.

this is true. . . we are driven to be there for our friends. . . but we need our strength for ourselves. . . but who do we turn to when we need strength?

Yes it is the strength in each of us that will reward us in the end with the answers to our dreams as long as we weather all the storms to get there without trying to rush things or avoiding the path of what we must go through to get there. Excellent write my friend.
