So, here we are,
Two figures of similar dress
He being slightly taller
And with graceful manners
Telling me about his pain.
Christ, I hate when he drinks.
The night air should have chilled
But the company was colder
Not, mind you, do to anything
He could have done, no
Its just his nature.
No, I don't pity him.
He looks me in the eyes
Stares at me a moment, saying
Things that are nonsense to me
Yet make a certain amount of truth.
The order of this world.
The life we lead when compared to ants.
Again, he attempts focus
Smiles feebly, I know whats next.
Yes, I'll help you once again,
I seem to be made for this job
Though not proud, and at that
We're off for our nightly collection
Of souls having left hearts,
Just me, and drunk Death.

This is a great read! Thank you! (let's hope death is too drunk to see us this year!)
