Almond eyes watch the tealite flicker
swan river daisies dance in the breeze
coralbells and wine, watermelon red
grace the quaint table of the terrace
she listens for the sound of his spurs
in the quiescent of moonlight
patiently she sips her sweet wine
in the spotlight of the moon, fireflies dance
to the chorus of locust while crickets chant
garnet lipstick tints the edge of her goblet
as the hint of citrus lingers upon her mouth
but the night was not meant for love
unaware his lips belong to another
another not as deserving.. of his kiss

Reach high, for stars lie hidden in your soul.
Dream deep, for every dream precedes the goal.

Victoria~
So wistfully sad ... and yet so lovely.

You've tucked in some wonderful original thoughts -

'fireflies dance
to the chorus of locust while crickets chant'

And the tiniest thought of all -
carries such an impact ...
'watch the tealite flicker'

Just lovely !
