I know I have no reason
to sit here and cry
in my heart
I'll never say good-bye

How could I ?
You are a part of me
My hero, not just a member
of my family

You never let me forget
I was special to you
in everything you'd say
in everything you'd do

I have 30 years of memories
kept within my heart
more treasured than any
great work of art

For all my life
I'll never let go of you
How could I?
I love you Aunt Sue

It's never easy to lose someone close to you.
Harder yet to endure the loss of a 'hero'.
I'm very sorry for your loss and for that of your family.
Thoughts and prayers, be yours.
Cherish your memories and be well.

OH Susan I'm sorry hon! I knew you said she wasn't doing well!  Big hugs to you hon.
We have to mourn, so let the tears flow.

Here's a poem for ya.

God looked around His garden
And He found an empty place
He then looked down upon this earth
And He saw your tired face.
He put his arms around you
And lifted you to rest
God's garden must be beautiful
He always takes the best.
He knew that you were suffering
He knew you were in pain
He knew that you would never
Get well on earth again.
He saw that the road was getting rough
And the hills were hard to climb
So He closed your weary eyelids,
And whispered, "Peace be thine."
It broke our hearts to lose you
But you didn't go alone
For part of us went with you
The day God called you home.
You left us beautiful memories
Your love is still our guide
And though we cannot see you
You are always by our side
Our family chain is broken
And nothing seems the same
But as God calls us one by one
The chain will link again.

My condolences sweetheart!!  HUGS This was a wonderful tribute to your Aunt Sue.

SEA... I am so deeply sorry for your loss. I lost my aunt in April of this year, and I know it is tough. But with the grief comes consolation that she is happy, and always watching over me. And that she will be there for me anytime I need her. No more great distances, no more waiting for one day a month when I can call her... she is there right when I ask for her.  I'm sure she was very honored by this poem. Great writing... A good way to tell her that you celebrated her life, and still love her through the plains.  Many bright blessings to you.

Kimberlee~ thank you for caring...I'm sorry you lost your Aunt also....I am happy that she is no longer in pain, that was breaking my heart, and yes, she is a thought away. It's gonna hurt for a long time.

Waverly~ thank you for taking the time to say you care, it means so much to me.....the day I was born, she drove something like 4 hours with a broken arm, just to be there to see me.And that begins the love between us, she was always there for me. I miss her so much.

SEA-This cowboy wants to seriously tell you just how sweet this is and you may carry her in your heart and memories but she is now cradling you with her angel wings and I know that she will let you feel her inside of you.  You have the heart of an angel yourself.  Take care of you my sweet friend.  Hugs to you and one small soft one on the cheek.

SEA~
God knows I understand your pain.
The tears are yours, but I hope it helps to know know that
they are cradled in my heart with your ache.
Heartfelt sympathy for your loss.

When we love someone so deeply - it does
hurt when they leave our presence.

And though the memories remain ...
we are always reminded of the enormity of our loss.
Love to you, hon.

SEA,

I am sorry for your loss. You and your family will be in my thoughts and prayers.
Warm big hugs my friend.

ANGEL

The whisper of your memory
Dances across my mind
Some people don’t understand
How you’ve touched my life
But you showed me more
Than other people ever could
You showed me hope
You showed me how to be brave
Smiling through your pain
Always offering a kind hand
Always offering words of care
Never complaining or faltering
I know you look down on us now
Not with sadness of being gone
But with peace and love
Watching over us
With the memory of you
Forever embedded in our hearts

I posted this poem in forum 8 I think... I thought you might like it.

Sorry for your loss (((HUGS)))
This a very good expression of what you feel. Keep writing the poetry to help you sort the pain. It will help. I know it has helped me in the past.  God Bless.

SEA,

This is a fitting tribute to a special person in your life.  I can tell you were very close to her.  It is never easy to let go of those we love, but we have to remember that one day we will be reunited with them and then there will be no more good-byes.  I send my sympathy for your loss.  You and your Aunt Sue are in my thoughts and prayers.  Lovely writing.
