reading alot of poems inhere, seeing the high quality of them...inspire me to write this one.

Can I call myself a poet too?

Don't know if I can call myself a poet too,
with written I hope, that my passions pass through,
with words that thrive from out my heart,
what make it so much easier to start,
to release my passions and make it understandable for you.

Don't know if I can call myself a poet too,
when I translate my feelings inhaled with the true,
not describing it, with fragrance, frilly poetic words,
and without a fly to heaven, staying here on earth,
that is my style of writing, that is certainly my credo.

Don't know if I can call myself a poet too,
with written down this feelings, that is simply what I do,
trying to describe all those passions, you know that this really depends,
on experience an emotions, cause they are my spicy ingredients,
and this combination, is for me simply the clue.

So don't call me a poet, really I don't earn that,
write only with passion, when I am happy or feeling sad,
Don't write about, roses are red and violets blue,
lie only my inner inhere and allow you to review,
my soul and my heart will lead you through my writers-path.

When the passion of the poet mixes with the pen for a poem...

of course you can be a poet.  Read, learn, and enjoy the fantasy on which you are about to embark...

Charisma - I really like the rhyming scheme you used here to write this poem.  I read it twice to get the flow, then the content.  Great writing.

You write from the heart and that's what it takes to be a Poet. Keep up the good work.

Charisma, I often ask myself the same question, there are so many great poets at this forum!
I may not write as well as others, but I do share the passion and desire to write down my feelings in my own special way.
I guess this makes me a poet too!

Charisma,

Hmmm.. isn't that what poets do? Express their feelings in words that touch and inspire people?  I would call you a poet   We all have our different styles and formats.. but it is all poetry

Sweetie, if you can pour your feelings the way you just did then you are a true poet indeed.  This cowboy says you are and if he says it is then "IT IS"...and anyone denying it can come to me to dispute it.  Beautifully and welcome to the land of blue pages and quills as an "OFFICIAL" poet now.

charisma...you are a poet      writing from the heart, what you feel, what you think, how you view the world and all its happenings inside and out, some way or another....you are a poet...when your soul bleeds the words onto the paper...you are a poet...
keep writing friend poet

Dear poet,
A slice of life or two
The inner core of you
The feelings that you find
Of soul, of heart, of mind
Please just write them down
No matter how they sound
Whatever truth they hold
Is worth it's weight in gold
And it's poetry
Take care
Liz

The more you write poetry the easier it gets...once you stop it is hard getting back in the groove again..at least for me it is.
Being called a poet is nice..there are worse things to be called ha ha..
