Just for you

I felt the need to write a poem
A sweet and sentimental roam.
Within and out my fantasy
With just a tweak of ecstasy.

Desire was the needed stock
A nip of smile a twinge of mock
Some longing from the silent well
With just the smallest pinch of hell.

I'll stew it in a pot of dream
And mix it with a spoon of scheme
I'll salt it with exotic spice
And layer it with sugared ice.

I'd serve it with a mellow wine
A cup of word that you are mine
And kiss you with a hallowed kiss
To chill you with a touch of bliss.

I'll whisper you things in hush
Just enough to make you blush.

This is a wonderful poem.  Its funny, but also tells how much you care about that special someone.

What a great set of promises, so well laid out and composed.  I enjoyed every line, as I do with all your poems.  Each future line is a mystery that, when revealed, becomes obvious to us all.

Sweet with added humour, lovely

But never let go of the memories.
