Wintering Haiku

icicles winking
soon under slender moon
white snowflakes welcome

frost out, warmth within
emerald eyes smiling now
fiery memories

snowmen dance at night
under winter’s starcased skies
eliciting sighs

peaceful solitude
in fair dreams, hark midnight’s bell
come toll spring too soon

Greeneyes, Sunny1 -

the clouds are gray this lonesome day
and winter's in the air
soon snowflakes will drift on down
into a snowman's eyes I'll stare...

thanks for reading!

Ahhhh, love the winter its my favorite season

There are enough colours in the world,
To paint your own dreams,
You won't get them,
Till you try.

Normally I would reply in Haiku but I could not take mine to the beauty in which you did these.  So, please allow me to say Beautiful in every way.  No DOUBTS on that one at all.  I love winter too so maybe that helped me to be partial to the magic of these.

my goodness, i do say these are fantastic! a wondeful set of haikus that paint a lovely portrait of winter.

"snowmen dance at night
under winter’s starcased skies
eliciting sighs"

i liked that one a LOT!
