A Signal Red Rose

Watching from but a short distances
this spry meager bud began
her journey to full bloom, an opera of
delightful music to my heart
such splendid joy to see her growth
becoming testimony to the
beauty’s of life.

Sometimes at odds but always to survive,
watching this single red rose
spin to a dance all her own giving the
heart such delight to the
rhymes of life. Her stance she has made
in this world gone astray.

Arrayed in fine jewels teardrops of loving
kindness she shines to the ones
that have been graced to truly know of her
beauty inward and blessed
outwardly with her charm thus giving
this single red rose a beauty
all her own.

She has not the reason to give of her self
in vain, it comes naturally to her,
giving my heart reason to believe once
again that life is worth living
and not just gains.

I offer up my thanks knowing she beholds
my why’s and doesn’t judge
for any of my lack, giving this tried soul
a reason to go on, to remembering
that this world still has loving kindness in it
and not just being so bleak and black.

It only takes a single red rose to remind us
of life’s beauty’s, may she shine
for all of her time and be blessed with joys
in  fullness for she glistens
in my heart and gives me reason for life.

I dedicate this poem to my sister Julene, probably the only one who truly understands me, I want the world to know just how much I love her for her, and I thank her so much for all she does out of pure loving kindness.

Cerenity~
My dear, this is truly lovely.  I know your sister appreciates it, too.  There is no better tribute, or way to share your love, than like this, with words from the heart.  You are a gifted poetess, my friend!

Love Ya~

Hi Terry,

So nice to see you, thank you so much, yes I love her very much and I don't know of any other way than to tell her through poetry, sometimes it comes out better and more meaningful when my heart sings the words.

Love,Cerenity

Hi Everyone,

Could I ask you if this line sounds right?

(She has not the reason to give of her self
in vain, it comes naturally to her,) I can not tell,,,

Wha a lovely poem for your sister! She is lucky to have you too! I didn't have a sister and always wished for one. I believe sisters share a unique understanding of each other, a special relationship unlike any other!
