This is some older material which I really don't like but nonetheless, I hope you all enjoy it!

I have yet, to pass through the winners gate
because as of know, I lack what it takes,
to aspire, reach higher, and gravitate
as some people say,
that sucess may,
never come my way,
while some say that,
I'm the one that's holding me back.
Well, I know that I'll never back down,
from what life has to offer
because, it's been my lifetime promise,
to suceed through life and prosper
because, I can't and I won't let,
my critics get the best of me
because, I'm all about positivity.
I just need to conquer my demons inside me,
as well as my depressive mentality,
and reach deep inside, to get the best of me
because from low and behold,
I see a rainbow and a big pot of gold
so, I'm gonna free my soul,
and grow tall as a tree,
and branch out gracefully,
and I won't let a soul hold me back
because, I've got my eyes on the prize,
and when you look into my eyes,
you'll see the look of a believer,
wanting to become an achiever,
hoping to catch sucess, like a wide reciever
as the underdog will always be waiting,
for it's place in time,
and it's chance to reach that evasive top
because everybody, want a chance to rise and shine,
with a happy story and to dwell in glory,
of their personal doo wop.

"because everybody wants a chance to rise and shine
with a happy story and to dwell in glory
of their personal do wop."
I enjoyed your message Nate...we all desire happiness and this reminds me of an old song called "Our Day Will Come".
It went something like this....
"Our day will come when we'll have everything
we'll find the joy that falling in Love will bring."  Some of the old songs were so perfect in the thoughts and ideas they expressed...James

Like PdV' I always root for the underdog, they always try harder and deserve the win more - You'll get your moment, and when you do, it will be all the more sweeter for having been the underdog . I must say you have a wounderfuly positive attitude - do you rekon you could teach me as I usualy end up just struggling through, unhappy but alive ! Loved the poem . Thankyou .

Nate, my friend~
As usual you put a unique little thought to work ...

'I'm gonna free my soul,
and grow tall as a tree,
and branch out gracefully'

What a lovely image to strive for.

That is a great positive piece of work. You have acheived what most people never even try.
That's my opinion and everybody is entitled to my opinion.
