I'm Jinxed
Or My Computer Aint My Friend

Some people are always lucky
They don't have a jinx you see
Their coffee is hot, the trains on time
It's never, ever that easy with me

Everything I touch soon gets broken
I'm always the one to trip and fall
When someone shouts out "Hey catch this!"
You know I'm going to drop the ball

Other's people phone's will only sound
When it's right and proper to ring
My mobile only seems to summon me
At the worst time to hear the thing

Most people's computers work just fine
Their screens never fade on them and die
Now mine is controlled by a little devil
Do you really wonder why I sit and sigh

I can't understand the the strange jargon
It controls me with constant fear
That work I've spent hours putting in
Can quite suddenly up and disappear

I wish I understood why it hates me
I'd sit with it, maybe try a friendly chat
When in truth, I don't want to cosset it
I want to throw it and hear it go splat

Damned computer knomes!!!  I know precisely what you mean...and if my boss turns away for more than a couple seconds, I'm opening the window, and sending my PC on a free fall towards the street!!!  Thanks for the read!

W H Bob thanks, this was written after my puter crashed for the fith time in three hours. So the poor little thing obviously needed to be taken to the old puters home. Glad you like this.

This one made me laugh.  I am so very thankful for the computer science major who lives down the hall from me.  Without her my computer would have been out the window too.  I know how you feel.

Waverly917 Thanks for reading this, I'm a complete puter dunce. I don't want to know how it works, I only want to turn it on and it do so. Is that too much to ask, obviously yes. The thing that really annoys me is when someone says well you should have done this or that.
Never mind the dear little thing is working now, and I've promised not to threaten it with buying a quicker sleaker model. So I'm hoping it will behave.
Take care and keep your friend the computer major close by.

I'm glad it made you smile, no truly if you understand this little monster I do want you near by, honestly! I don't want anyone to tell me how it works, because I don't care, but if you have a spare day or so, explain to me how to get it to behave. I know I'm never going to be able to look at it and not wait for the next attack that's for sure.
Take care

Don't you just feel like throwing it out the window at times!

Irish Rose, don't I just, but I won't say it out loud in case it starts to plot it's revenge.
Take care

ROFLMAO-so this is how it is with yours too huh?  Glad to know that it isn't just me.  They do say computers have their own brain so maybe it just needs a little kick upside the head or something to rattle it lose.LOL

Fun read in all respects

you have no idea how often I want to do that But then again, for all it does I cant live without it

Sometimes you have to let go and move on,
But never let go of the memories.

Mark my friend, if I could throw it out the window, I would. As for it having a brain, well it's certainly brighter than I am. In a battle of wits it would win hands down no contest. But one day I'll get my own chance to make it suffer, (perhaps I should whisper that, I don't want it throwing a tantrum).
Thanks for reading this bit of fluff, I do appreciate your comments always.
Take care

Maria, yes I quite agree, I couldn't do without it, but when I can it had better hide.

Glad you liked this, thanks for stopping by.
