I posted this poem quite some time ago and Ron was nice enough to place it on the main site, today I recieved a letter from a publisher who saw it on the main site requesting permission to publish it in its 2000 Who's Who in Poets and Poetry book.  Soooo....if you haven't submitted anything to the main site, give it a try, I've gotten several nice e-mails from people as well as a publishing request.

Ready For Love

Take my hand and lead the way;
tell me all you want to say.
Whisper softly in my ear,
all those things I want to hear.
Kiss my lips and touch my skin;
bring out passions deep within.
Pull me close and hold me near;
take away my pain and fear.
In the darkness of the night,
be my beacon, shine your light.
In the brightness of the sun,
show me that you are the one.
Give me wings so I can fly;
for I can soar when you're nearby.
Enter my heart, break down the wall,
it's time for me to watch it fall.
I've been a prisoner, can't you see?
Break my chains and set me free.
Strip me of my armor tight;
you'll find I won't put up a fight.
Release my soul held deep within . . .
I'm ready now, let love begin.

If I didn't know better, I'd think it was Spring time. Beautiful piece. Thank you for sharing it.

Ruth let us know how it turns out won't you?
I wish the best, and I hope they are what they say they are. Cause this one certainly deserves a publishing.

Just to make everyone else aware, I hope you don't mind Ruth that I added the link here that Ron posted in Announcements.

Wilfred...thank you, I'll take that as a very high compliment

Sunshine...Thanks, and as I replied to Ron's posting, I have nothing to lose by checking this place out and scoping it up for some of the other poets here as this poem has already been published in a journal.
