Too
Short
The Wick
~*Marge Tindal*~

l
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
What claim to fame
burned so brightly
for so short a while
until life refused to
live you any longer ?
Melting in puddles of
waxed memory flicker
'cross a dim-lit room.
Snuffed wick of recall
lingering fragrances of
your burning still waft
to reach my senses of
aching with the need
of wanting more of you
Reaching the crevices
of this sister's heart
reminding me of your eternal flame that lit my life
In loving memory of my sister, Shari Cowart Ricker
Good piece.  I only hope that I will leave that kind of feeling to those I love when I am gone.
Marge-
   This is so beautiful.  I can feel your
   love for your sister in this.  Know that
   you are in my thoughts and prayers as
   you go through a difficult time with
   the memories of your sister and mother.
   God bless you, my friend.
   love and hugs,
Marge my sweet friend;  Just knowing that her flame will forever burn in your heart adds comfort to all those concerned.  My prayers to you for the memories of your sister and your mother during these times and you know as I do that they are singing today in heaven and they are singing of their love for you.  Hugs to you my friend.
too often - I bypass posting replies - because I can't think of adequate words - I'm profoundly moved - but can't think of words to say. - This is such an occasion. - I'll simply say you have my love and prayers - and hope you understand.
Ah, but, our Marge, don't you see?  She left the flame in your eyes...
and you pass along her spirit so wisely...
therefore, she will always live in the light...
my heart-hugs are yours, my friend...
     My dear friend, I am going to cry.  This is so beautiful.  And such a lovely tribute.  Your sister was as lucky to have you as you were to have her.  And I am lucky enough to call you my friend!
