Too
Short
The Wick
~*Marge Tindal*~

l
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
What claim to fame
burned so brightly
for so short a while
until life refused to
live you any longer ?
Melting in puddles of
waxed memory flicker
'cross a dim-lit room.
Snuffed wick of recall
lingering fragrances of
your burning still waft
to reach my senses of
aching with the need
of wanting more of you
Reaching the crevices
of this sister's heart
reminding me of your eternal flame that lit my life
In loving memory of my sister, Shari Cowart Ricker
Good piece.  I only hope that I will leave that kind of feeling to those I love when I am gone.
Marge my sweet friend;  Just knowing that her flame will forever burn in your heart adds comfort to all those concerned.  My prayers to you for the memories of your sister and your mother during these times and you know as I do that they are singing today in heaven and they are singing of their love for you.  Hugs to you my friend.
too often - I bypass posting replies - because I can't think of adequate words - I'm profoundly moved - but can't think of words to say. - This is such an occasion. - I'll simply say you have my love and prayers - and hope you understand.
Friends ... I want you all to know that I deeply appreciate your thoughts, hugs and prayers.
It is comforting to know that you each reach out to me in your own special ways.
I thank you for that.
Memory's flood-gates open wide at times like these ...
your friendship has helped me navigate the troubled waters.
To each of you who have lost someone, I spread my arms around you - as you have so tenderly done for me.
With heartfelt emotion, I appreciate each of you.
