In times past I've gazed in eyes
Brown, hazel, greens and blues
Laughing, sensual, serious eyes
Many of varying hues

For brief periods I swam in some
Romanced, danced, and pranced in some
Even had heart lanced by some
Possessed by beauties called handsome

But long before I knew your eyes
I knew your words so kind
And I think I'd loved you then
Even if I were quite blind

Yet words fell then like showers
Gentle rain down from the sky
Our conversations warming
We could make each other cry

With laughter and with passion
We learned each other's ways
Moments turned to hours
Hours turned to days

Before the first clear photograph
Of your eyes caught my view
I saw you as a woman
Knew I was in love with you

I'd heard your voice so soft and sweet
Knew I'd caught your heart
But we're not free, yet sallied on
We knew it wasn't smart

Still there was turning back
I thought, the lock still had a key
But in that picture eyes that shone
I knew I could never be free

Sparkles of gold around the rims
Love that shined clear through
More beautiful they are to me
Than eyes of any blue

Oh I could wax poetically
About your smile or lips
Or how your music on the keys
Comes from your fingertips

The luscious curves your body makes
The neck I dream to kiss
But the eyes I love now more than all
Seems I was born for this

Yes the words, they touch my heart
Yes they always will
Words that tell of love denied
Our broken hearts they fill

Still when alone and sharing bed
I'm deep inside your eyes
I'm dreaming of that far off day
We'll go flying through the skies

Unencumbered free to be
The 'us' that fills my dreams
And I will then see first hand
The eyes that fill my schemes

~You have to have a dream so you can get up in the morning.

Bill--They say the eyes are the gateway to the soul...so perhaps you have found your soulmate...you have written your heart in this lovely poem.

This sounds like a premonition more than a fantasy. And it is truly amazing how you can come to know a person before you even meet them. This poem is lovely
