Here is another,
just for you,
rhymes in time,
long overdue...
I heard of whispers
in the dark,
and romps of dreams
and sting of spark,
Tales of shivers
up the spine
and tongues that
taste of aged wine...
fingertips to
feather--chilled,
loveliness
of love fulfilled,
Rumors, have I heard
of this--
to taste a soul
upon the lips...
I listen for the
answers true,
and weep because
I'm missing you...
each idea,
a new thing born,
shared with you,
and left forlorn.

I heard of love--
did not believe,
'til I met you,
and you did leave.
A prison now
of memory...
a prisoner
you've made of me.
Once more, please,
just wipe my tears,
still my shaking
calm my fears...
If it's but a
night of free...
oh come with me,
pretend, I'll be
as close to her
I can achieve,
for you, I'd give up
being me.

serenity,
for you I'd give up
being me.

What a poem. Bravo!

serenity,

I loved this poem... but I must say whoever it is isn't worth changing what a lovely person you are.  Please remember that.

If you ever stop being you, I'm gonna hunt you down and twist your ears!!!!

No man in his right mind would EVER want you to not be you...for you are you-nique!!!

Have you ever imagined a world with no hypothetical situations?

JMHO - but no one - nothing  - No love - should EVER  take away you're being you. (This is not to say the poem isn't lovely and powerul and perfect and understandable - i.e. - hyperbole by way of expressing the strength of your love and caring. But men can be pretty stupid at times and abusive to those who allow themselves to be carpets. - I talk too much.

Serenity,

Powerful poetry here my friend.  I like this one.  But, you know . . . if he really loves you, you won't have to be anyone except yourself!!

Hugs to heart, each and every one...and worry not, I lied...I can't help but being me, I've been studying the understudy all my life....grins, and love to all me friends...and Wils, no apologies necessary, carpet is a good metaphor, but don't forget the magic...I just miss him.
