by moonlight and by lamplight
the poet writes his words
they are said to be by many
the sweetest ever heard
but no one knows his pain
the longing in his heart
all they see is the love
when he his tale starts

he spins his tales of Romance
and makes his readers swoon
he shows to them the stars
and takes them to the moon
but his heart is empty
no lover fills his soul
it seems there is no one
to fill that gaping hole

and when his rhyme is done
he hears their loving applause
it warms him for a moment
that they have taken pause
but they know not the lonliness
that lies beneath the verse
all they see is the love
they suffer not his curse

for he knows little of love
his heart knows more of pain
but every time that his heart breaks
he gets back up again
back to sing his song of love
in hopes that she will hear
she who will caress his heart
and hold it oh so dear

and so to all that will hear
he sings of love once more
waiting in hope for that one
who will open his heart's door
they see his tears of longing
the truest they have heard
for his tears are not of water
this poet's tears are words

When you write poems full of romance,
I feel as if I'm in a trance.
Then, you write like this...
All you need is someone to kiss.

I'm so sorry to see this pain. I guess I never realized you felt this way. This really saddened me. I hope one day you find love and can be happy.

Sven,

I am about speechless here . . . I know this is from the heart and I thank you for the peek at it once again.  Wonderful writing my friend.

Sven this is so sad, and sometimes I guess people don't really know how another person feels but opening up and talking things out and writing them down somehow heals the part of your heart that is hurting, beauty is hidden sometimes in places we just don't look, but seems you have really amazed us with your words for they are beauty to our souls.

How do you do it>?  That is right?  Hell you paint such pictures, this one forlorn and longing sure, but you have a gift Sven you really do.  When I can write this good I will be a happy lady.  The changes in your writing since you joined passions is wonderous..... Bravo my friend and check your email

Sven,

I totally understand this piece and the truth it convays, when the women of your dreams comes in to your life she will be so very blessed at the tenderness that I know for a fact is there and waiting to be shared. Time is the factor that always seems to be the hardest in these's kind of things because the heart is so very impation. Beautiful truths in this one friend, I wish only the very best for you.

Love, Cerenity

Sven - I don't know how to express in words the feelings that I have after reading this writing. Except perhaps, I find it so true. Many tears have these eyes seen when writing the words. Thanks Sven, for sharing this.

Sven,
No words from from me could dull the pain
when your words fall like rain
but know this, from you to me
your great words have set me free
in reading you throughout the night
I forget my lonely plight
I'm enraptured once again
believe in love, accept the pain
so while I share your pain at loss
I must thank you for revealing your cross.

Be well
