~Anticipation Interrupted~

Today comes and goes ... just the same as yesterday,
It's just another day gone ... tomorrow will be the same way.
I don't feel the sunshine ... I don't taste the rain,
All I feel is you gone ... and I'm lost in the pain.

I don't see the falling stars ... nor the blue neon moon of night,
I cant see past these shadows ... all I see is the dark without your light.
Gone is the promise of the new morn ... no new sunrises kissed in mists of dew,
No more indigo and lavender sunsets ... all my sunsets came and went with you.

How do you move on ... when there is nothing to look forward to,
how do you let go ... when this was the only thing holding and comforting you.
What do you talk about ... when there is nothing left to say,
what's the point of talking ... when no ones listening anyway.

For so long now ... I held on to this precious memory ...
somewhere along the line ... he became a part of me.
When I lost him ... I lost promise and my heart's inspiration,
I don't know how to get me back ... how to again feel sweet anticipation.

All that I feel now is poetry ... its the only time I really breathe ...
its the only time I don't taste the lonely ...  my mercy ... poetic reprieve.
So embrace me in the verses ... immerse me in the rhyme ...
heal me with the rhythm ... help me leave this pain behind.

Compose me a new day dawning ... paint me a scenic road back home,
lead me down a garden path ... to a sanctuary where I'll never again be alone.
Lay me down on a bed of roses ... bathe me on beaches of glistening white sand,
light me candles of inspiration...give flame to my anticipation ... poets pen in hand.

Janet Marie

for DeVante' ... my reason to write always

~You Will Always Be Mine~
Collin Raye

I love the way you move ...
like moonlight oon the sea.
the way your body calls me,
like a secret melody.
the way you start a fire,
when you look into my eyes ...
until I'm satisfied.

Chorus:

There are moments when I love you ...
beyond the limits of my human heart
I want to hold you, take care of you
The way the angels watch over the stars
past the pull of the earth
across the deep blue sky
Through the universe
Beyond the reach of time
You will always be mine

I dot know how you know exactly what I need
I dont know how you found the man/woman I want to be
I dont know how your sweet tears made me see clear again
I dont know how you know
I dont know how you go
everywhere Ive' been

There are moments when I love you ...
beyond the limits of my human heart
I want to hold you, take care of you
The way the angels watch over the stars
past the pull of the earth
across the deep blue sky
Through the universe
Beyond the reach of time
You will always be mine
You will always be mine
You will always be mine
always in this heart if mine...
for now and ever...for all time.

Janet sweet, sweet words from a sweet woman that misses her man so much and this man if he loved you half as much as you love him would want nothing more in this world than for you to experience the beauty of this love with someone new when you are ready to share the love in your heart and to embrace someone new that has been waiting to meet a beautiful precious woman just like you...perhaps someone that has also lost their love and now they are ready to give love an opportunity to give all of it's blessings...the happiness, the admiration, the appreciation, the sharing and the caring that is found in loves embrace...perhaps love is wanting to embrace you once again...perhaps...I hope for you...sweet Janet Marie....James

Dearest Janny
This is so heartfelt and beautiful, I hope you find someone who will understand your loss and understand the love you will always have for your man. The beauty in this is so immense, you are a very talented lady and don't forget you have many ears listening to you here in passions.
Take care

Let's go S'en....**reving engine**
Oh damn girl this one aches and bleeds across
the page, I know I heard angles singin here!!
You reached in past your heart and soul
and pulled this one out...That's a poetic
gift Baby!! Seeing you write like this moves
something in me and causes a light to come on
Showing that love like this is out there...
somewhere and that even if it's only given
for a short time...any thing less than a life
time would be short...it's out there and to
learn through you that when you give 110%
and just allow yourself to love and be loved
back....great things come.  I know it hurts
to not have him...have his voice to comfort...but you KNOW I KNOW that he's
there baby....probably even closer than
before....((Hugs)) me SS.

Janet,

The pain you feel and express in this poem leaves me speechless.  I wish there was something I could say to take away the pain you feel. I offer you my prayers and warm hugs and a promise that one day you will see the sunshine again.

Hugging you and loving you my friend.  You know that I know of the pain....and would take it all if I could.  Just keep on writing the pain....let it bleed til the scar takes ahold.  Soft shoulder offered for you to weep your eyes and heart out on.  Hang in there baby....time will get you past it all and give to you what you seek.

Janet Marie...this is so very beautifully written. Your heartache is felt by us all through your words.  Putting these feelings out for everyone to read helps us all.  It is so very hard to move on when you have lost someone you love.  The love never stops as you have captured in this sad, but beautiful creation. Great, great work!!  My heart pours out to you.

Oh, Janet Marie, this is so close to my heart, I cannot tell you how much I feel in this piece you've written.  It tells me I'm not the only one who clings to the poetic passion when everything else seems to be evaporating.

God Bless you!

thank you to each one of you ...
I'm a bit too overwhelmed by these
giving and emotional replies to answer each one individually,
please forgive me and know i am very touched, I know this is another sadder one than I usually try to write about him...
as I really do celebrate him
but Irish Rose....you commented about exactly what I was trying to say in this..
not to focus on the loss but to heal in the
poetry...keep the memories alive thru
the poems.
Find release and strength in the writing ...
thank you all for the sweet replies and hugs ...
this place is so special
and Mark ... thank you baby...

Janet, I came across this poem and it took my breath away for a few secs...

I didn't expect this (next time I'm holding kleenex in hand just in case)...

The romantic intensity and heart tugging it expressed through each verse (which btw I had to read twice) was so eloquent my dear PoetFriend it left me with tears at the end...

You grabbed me with the fabulous title, but I did not expect such rich honesty and unrequited desireā€¦ oh, if this is simply fictional verse, you are genius. And if this is life-to-words, you are a brave person, Janet. Thank you for sharing this!

Janet Marie, this is an achingly beautiful piece, it really is. So full of love so full of pain, but pain that will heal.

When I lost him.........I lost promise and my hearts' inspiration

This line is soooooooo true. This is an amazing poem, utterly magnificent. Life does go on, it doesn't help to hear that, but it does. And if you ever need a helping hand to help you rise, which we all do sometimes, remember that here are your family. And family will always be here for you.
Take care

Only a heart full of love could have written these words. Someone once asked me, what do you think is the greatest love story in history, and I said' "Mine". Because yours is the greatest love on earth. It shows in your poetry. But it is not all of life, and you will love again in a different way, and your life will not be diminished for having lost a love, but only enhanced for having been a part of his. THis is beautiful poetry, my dear. Your writing is prolific and meaningful

My goodness these replies are a beautiful as your poetry ...
thank you all for the heartfelt and treasured by me always words of encouragement.
I know occasionally these come out a bit sadder than others....
but I promise I am fine and I celebrate him and the gifts of fate I was given in ever knowing him...
Please forgive the group replies but I am time restricted of late and may be for awhile.
I will be in here reading your lovely words but for a while I wont have a lot of time for replies...I know you all understand,
I dont want anyone to wonder or worry.
thank you all
love ya all in poetry land

Love this on Janet just an incredible write..
"no new sunrises kissed in mists of dew"

these kind of phrases so bring the perspective of the reader into full comprehension.

It time to come away my darling pretty
it's time to come away on the changing tides
time to come away my darling pretty
and I need you darling by my side

heal me with a smile darling pretty
heal me with a smile and a heart of gold
carry me a while darling pretty
heal my aching heart and soul

just like a castaway
lost upon an endless sea
I saw you far away
come to rescue me.

cast away the chains darling pretty
cast away the chains away behind
take away my pain my darling pretty
and the chains that once were yours and mine

there will come a day darling pretty
there will come a day when hearts can fly
love will find a way darling pretty
find a heaven for you and I

Forgive me J.M. I almost missed this, and that would be like painting over a picasso. You show real depth of feeling and passion in this poem, and I cant say anything that hasnt been said much better by others. A few lines that always comfort me when I miss my love, "Though we move across different oceans, we are uplifted by the same gentle breeze". Be well my friend and thank you for sharing.

Take care
