To the friends of Gareotemsti, I hope that you don't mind
But here is some advice for you, just because I'm feeling kind
Remember your friend Toerag is still quite young and free
His adolescent humor is a giveaway you see

I know you think Gare's  grown up and  just maybe he is
But you must take a  warning, his mind is in a tizz
Take it from me a professional, I've seen the signs I know
Although he likes to use big words his mind is sluggish, slow

And though he's playing grown up, he isn't that at all
He is just a frightened child, a boy who's feeling small
And then to make a cover up as his anxiety grows
He'll reach out so desperately and start snatching at your clothes.

So you'd better care of him, keep him on a tightened leash
Lest his fantasies become, the rift between your peace
If you find his eyes glaze o'er, hang up the telephone
For his mind's too little, … to be wandering off alone

Tizz = high state of anxiety. As in a tizzy fit.

but it is the loss that shapes the image,
gathers the flowers weaves the garland."-

LOL! Love it, Kethry....just one mistake. "Mind" and "Toerag" don't belong in the same sentence...they are incompatible

I wanna take care of him
Whatever the name! *G*
But badmouthing this sweet man...
You should be ashamed!

Kethry: You've been hanging around Long John and Balladeer entirely TOO long. *G* They've obviously corrupted your perception and eroded your ability to detect perfection. *G* (And dang it... when is he gonna start snatching at MY clothes! LOL)

heh - this is a terrific poem.  I'm gonna bookmark it for the next Book!  This is truly my day.  Toerag, 'Deer, and Kethry, all in poetry.  Big hugs, Kethry.

Belle - Perfection?  come come girl, are you daft?  Toe can't even find his way in here.  I guess we'd see more of him if he'd just ask for directions - lol.

Oh my oh my, what's this I see?
someone takin' shots at me.

Now this isn't too unusual,
It happens all the time,
But ya should take a little hint my friend,
Toerag can be unkind.

Though my mind's not quite intact,
It's roasted, uncouth and sick,
But I can cut and slander and pun,
Cuz I'm really quite a prick.

I like your way of thinking,
But things I like are weird,
So be kind to poor old Toerag,
Or you'll be on my list my dear!!

You get 'em girl, we still love to read your words
remember "silence is not always golden" and we are women hear us roar!
