Gathering Roses
~*Marge Tindal*~

Velveteen petals lightly strewn
along arbored pathways of the heart
Gathering now the fragrant memories
the roses do impart

Evermore this wafting scent
where once the petals grew
Pressed now between the pages
of never forgotten scent of you

Dried remains
of rose once bloomed
Clinging to the memories
of one gone too soon

Gathering roses in my heart
A bouquet of Mother's grace
softly breathes across the ages
now in memory's crystal vase

*In tender memory of my mother

It seems to be Mother's day here at Passions today, I just read another dedication to a mother, how tenderly written this is as well.  The hearts here are beautiful.

Any poem about a rose automatically has my seal of approval, as this one did. But yours could have stood on its own, Marge. Beautiful words.

A rose for you and one for your mother as well.  Your love for her shines in this one and I know that she is looking down from heaven right now cherishing you so, just as we all do here.  She has every reason in the world to be proud of you and with all that you do with so many less fortuante than us you offer another praise of love to her and honor as well.  Luv ya my sweet Cherokee friend!!!!!

Marge,

To me the rose is the most loving and beautiful of all flowers and I feel God gave us the rose as an earthly exsample of what heaven shall be like, and you have shown your mother as well as the whole world the greatest love a daughter can give her mother, I am sure that she carries a gleam in her eyes and a tear on her cheek for you right now, this is beyond beautiful friend it is graced with love by a trully loving soul and I am so glad I know you friend.

Love, Cerenity

Marge~

You have brought tears to my eyes my friend.  They are tears of sweet remembrance for my mother who died eight years ago.  The loss is immense especially lately.  My heart goes out to you.  I know how hard it is to lose someone you were so close to and loved so much.  She would be proud to read this one I think.

*HUGS* to you.
Love ya.

Dearest Marge,

What beautiful sentiments you have shared here. I know that I can't say anything to take your pain away...but please allow me to offer these few words of comfort and encouragement:

"Serve God, love me (and all others blessed enough to have a place in your heart) and mend"
WILLIAM SHAKESPEARE

I love you...may my love float to you on the breeze that rustles the leaf of the tree and warm your heart.

Love and hugs
