bobby samunego

we walked home after
the sophomore dance hand in hand
he enclosed me in his arms
and gave me a good night kiss
his tongue awakened
the woman in me
for the first time
off balance and tingling
where i had never tingled before
i went inside and
his family got transfered
to europe two weeks later
but funny thing
of all that i have forgotten
over the years
i still remember
his name...
and that kiss

Those are the moments that will forever stay with you.  They never die....the first of the first and you will have that to measure everything else in life with.

Jinxed~
Oh, my !
You rang a bell with this one -

'of all that i have forgotten
over the years
i still remember
his name...
and that kiss'

My remember is still a good friend ...
and we share the memory yet !

Thanks for this memory tickler.

My memory of my first kiss would probably be better if I hadn't gone on to marry the guy... I had plenty of time to wish that first kiss had been the last! LOL. Great poem, jinxed!

Auntie -- your reply reminded me of something I heard once...

"I married the first man I ever kissed. When I tell this to my children they just about throw up."--Barbara Bush, first lady, 1989

Nice poem jinxed one.... would I be considered insensitive if I said I can't remember mine?  I mean -- I have a good idea who it was -- but -- I just can't remember definitively which one...am I bad?
