“Oh” The Chill In The Air

“Oh” the chill in the air makes for a
picturesque sight in front of the fire, but I
am compelled to remain for Nature desires
an audience wanting to see her beauty
in all of its shades of splendor.

Last summer blooms are trying there
hardest to display the awesome beauty they
possessed. Fall is coming and so are the
delights that come with the
chilled air.

Strong willed and hardy these winter
arrivals of Natures bounty beginning there
timing just right so as to not leave Nature
naked and barren at any
given moment.

Even the flying creatures of the air
sing a different tune, one more urgent
scampering about to get ready for winter
and the scarcity of sustenance.

As with Nature also with man
there is going to be a changing of
seasons, there is no stopping its coming.
You must ride these changing times open
minded, with a willingness to grow and
become one in mind, body and soul, in
order to not fall to the way side in
bewilderment.

There is always forward motion
in all that is alive and loss in all that
is not taken into the soul pondered
on with insight and wisdom.

No matter what the future holds
I will try to keep a mind set always with
eager heart and hopefully the wisdom to
understand the events before me so as to
grow in the same way as does Nature
giving of herself freely always with
loving care to all that she provides
for and this includes me.

“Oh” the chill in the air a delight
to the very marrow in my bones, my heart
beats a little faster this morning out of sheer
delight for life and a thankfulness to have
the chance to be part of such wonderment
and beauty that has been offered to me,
and I give thanks.

For me Cerenity, the fall can't come fast enough. . . this makes me want to break out the hot cider and go on a hay ride. . .

Wonderful, my friend. . .

This is so lovely, Cerenity, and brings to mind that first brisk day of autumn. How you've captured the feeling of excitement and wonder in this poem

Cerenity~
Your thoughts are so lovely.

What a thought ....
I don't care for cold (or even cool) weather ...
but I do like the images it brings to poetic minds.
Love ya', gal.

Hi Janet Marie,

So nice to be here, life has been full of work and other stuff. Yes this morning was such a delight, I desided I was going to sit and enjoy the day rather than kill myself doing all that is supost to be done and it was so worth it, thank you so much for your loving reply I plan on trying to be here more.

Hi Sven,

Oh I could do with out the cold completely but you can not enjoy a fire without it as far as cider "yuck" there is a place not far from here called Julian and they grow apples and so every year its the thing to do go up there and get pies, cider and apple juice. My friend I am so thankful to see your reply and hope to talk to you soon..

Hi Liz,

So nice to hear your sweet words, yes this morning I took the time to enjoy the beauty around me and I am so glad I did, I pray all is well, I think of you and Tony all of the time. Thank you so much.

Hi dear sweet friend,

Im with you I do not like the cold at all, one year long ago when I was pregnant with my first child (almost 9 mo.) I made the mastake of going to the mountains with my husband when there was a lot of snow and he wanted to go to this certain lake up there well besides the fact it was so hard to walk in that stuff we got lost on the way back and ended up walking all after noon, I was so scared and sleep a whole day after we got home, and to this day I have kept my promise to never go to the snow again, but that could change you never know. Thank you friend for your kind reply.

Love to all, Cerenity

So very nice to see you among us again and you brought with you, one excellent verse filled with sincerity and offerings of thanks to what so many of us take for granted.  Beautifully penned my friend and once again...so nice to see you back

Yes, we should all follow nature's example, wonderful thoughts here.
