Rose Petal Bath and Orange Blossom Bed

Where love abounds in this bright day of bliss
I awake and find our lips entwined in lovers kiss
A touch of your breath resting deep within my eyes
As one more night the past is not but forgotten lies
~~~*~~~
Upon this morn we awake from the silence of lust
In this day we are forever joined in our twilights trust
As stars from last eve spun us into the heavens laugh
As I placed you within purest waters of rose petal bath
~~~*~~~
Eighty nine candles burning essence of garden trace
Glow of angels hugging the cheeks of your radiant face
Butterfly kisses found dancing merrily within your heart
Knowing all along that this is where we find our days start
~~~*~~~
From bath of roses turned to essence of your nectars scent
The beaded droplets of love from stars forming heaven's tent
Guiding the aromas of your wonderous tastes upon my tongue
Resting them upon the song of angels that now must be sung
~~~*~~~
Cradling you with chest to breast in my strengthened arms
Carried forth to the luscious buds of your butterfly charms
Placing tenderly your poetic form upon what has been read
Soft protection within the realms of your orange blossom bed

Mark Christopher

So as your the master can't you spare a moment to instruct this very basic student. I could do with some lessons.
Take care my friend

as of late, the love theme has not been such a strong point of mine... but this...THIS is really exceptional. there were some fantastic images and you appeal to all the senses, which is a great quality of a poem. Very awesome stuff. to the Library *whoosh*!
it's a keeper. for when i get back to those love moods, this will be my inspiration.

one last question...who's gonna light 89 candles? i'll just buy ya a soft 40 watt bulb.

Whew, you are quite a man, and this is excellent!  Taking all that care to show someone that they are special and that you care, the sensuality and the love in this mixed as well as the rose petals, orange blossoms and candles. Creating a heavenly sinful delight.  Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm this was wonderful!

Mark I had to come back to this, because it is soooo beautiful. It's not just the imagery, although they are stunning, it's not just the flow, although that is perfect. It's absolutely breathtakingly superb. Since I'm heading for my bed I wanted to take this image with me, to caress my dreams, and soothe my soul.

snowpants-Thank you and for you to save it is the greatest compliment a poet could ever get.

Martie-My friend I thank you dearly and when it comes from my heart I often don't know what I have written til I go back and read it days later.

Marsha-The lessons you don't need trust me.  You have your own style and you shine brightly.  I learn myself by reading other peoples poetry and then studying it over and over.  Thank you so very much.

serenity-Thanks for all that and the wink also....now go take a good gander at those feet upon your roof....could make for an early holiday you know.

JM-I do so cherish your words as always and I know that you know where it all comes from and your patience and understanding do not go unnoticed.  Luv ya too my friend and thank you for all you are.

Karilea-I not only hold her heart dear to me but I breathe her nad live her in all that I am and her heart is the one of gold that you see shimmering.....tis where my poems come from.  Thank you much.

Paula-I know and I do appreciate that very much.  Thank you much.

Melissa-I do so love the way your replies make me smile and I do so thank you and appreciate you greatly.

rosepetals25-It is I who thank all of you for allowing me to share and all of your wonderful replies.  Thank you once again my challenge friend.

Greeneyes-So nice to see you back with us and thank you so very much.

Ethan-my friend of verse....you slay me with your enthusiasm and I do so appreciate it.  Now as for the 40 watt light bulb...sorry dude but it would never do....you see it is the lighting of the candles and the blowing them out that allow all that extra time for me to rest my eyes one her.LOL....didn't you know..and I am honored to be in your library.  Got the message on Balladeers poems also.ROFL

Tears_of_Grace-If this is in any way sinful then it is something that I will have to atone to later in my walk within the stars because it is nothing short of the perfect union as far as I can see it.  Thank you so much and once again welcome to our passionate home.

I could identify with every single word - EXCEPT  the 89 candles~G~
sounds like a conflagration waiting to happen
let alone the expense of 89 candle holders -
the time ain't at issue - - I go along with that -
And where I come from - the ladies get suspicious when you go that far - figure Don Juan and all that = at least they did when   i was still single

All kidding aside - you write exqusitely romantic poetry. My hat's off to you

Mark you have just been elected the official poet for the office. It doesn't pay much mind, well it doesn't actually pay anything, but you get a Christmas card and we get to toast your health, on high days and holidays.
If I don't want to be sent to Coventry by them all I have to promise to show them at least one of your poems a week. They wanted them daily but we'd never get the work done. So in order of their comments here goes:

Oh this a beauty  Daphnie
This is stunning  Jan
Wow               Fran
Amazing           Pat
Oh my this is ....... I love this! Sue
Terrific          Mel
Oh boy            Kelsy
I think it's great Delia
Marvellous         David
(David doesn't actually work in the office but he was included because he wanted to be)

Take care

Daphnie, Jan, Fran, Pat, Sue, Mel, Kelsy, Delia, and David.....My heartfelt thanks to you all and I feel so honored that words could never say.  I will do my best for you all.
