I lost my friend today, God.
I really don't know what to say.
You called her to you, God
In a very special way

I want to scream and cry, God.
But that won't bring her back
During school we cried, God
And asked the simple question WHY?

Are you happy now, God
Is the driver going to live?
I know it really wasn't his fault, God.
He took more than he knew to give

Her funeral's on friday, God
Coincidentally a half day
We're going to be torn apart,God
And cry a lot and even laugh a little

I lost my friend today, God
And I hurt so much inside.
Are you going to help me, God
When I can't help but break down?

I can't ask for that much, God
I could have stopped the wreck
But I really want to know, God
Are you going to take her in?

---------------------------------------------------
A year later:

I still miss my friend a lot, God
Sometimes I still cry
But mostly I just smile, God
And talk to all those who know her

They make me laugh, God
And be happy that I knew her
Her sister has been awesome, God
Such a rock of strength

Please let her family be happy, God
They have dealt with so much
And thank you so very much, God
For though I briefly knew her
I can see why she was loved so much!

Sad poem Cuddlez,
sometimes we don't have any answers and that's always hard. sorry about your friend if it's true.
Be well

Cuddlez~
A very sad piece, if this is real I HUG you and pray for you that you feel god's love and his strength to understand that we don't know why this sort of thing has to happen to those so young but know that he will take care of her and love her very much and she will be looking down on you and watching over you from afar.
Love Tracie~

I'm so sorry for your loss Cuddlez. You've express many questions and thoughts that so many of us do in these difficult times, and you've expressed them so beautifully from your heart.

Best wishes and hugs to you,
/Kit

All I can say is He has His reasons and nothing you could have done could have changed what happened if He chose to call her home. I realize that doesnt really comfort but please dont blame yourself

Its real but an older poem- Oct. 4 of last year was when the accident happened. Just saw an old truck that looked exactly like the one the rollover wrecked in and there's been oh boy almost a year thoughts going around in my mind.
Thanks for your comments,
I know there are reasons for everything... I just don't always want to look for/understand em. I'd rather feel sorry for myself )
Again thanks for your replies...

i have been typing, backspacing, typing, and then deleting just trying to think of what to say. i won't dispense the "mysterious ways" bit. and truthfully, God and me don't really see eye to eye anymore, so i can't vouch for him or heaven.

But we should only cry when angels fall, and i'll tell ya, i got a little misty readin' this one.

your friend's stuggle may or may not be over, but your's is to now face this.
good luck.< !signature-->

You've brought tears to my eyes, I'm so sorry for the loss of your friend, death brings many questions and not many answers in most cases.

This one has me in tears as well and I know that it is not easy when you don't know the intentions of God but one day you will.  You must hold on to the faith that all things are as they should be and cherish those memories that are so sweet.  It took alot of strength in you to pen this and you did it flawlessy.

Yup, Toni was very special and everyone thought she was an angel... She always had an amazing ability to be "up and happy." Over 450 kids went to her funeral.. 900 or so people total.I didn't even really know her, but I've been around people who have been ). Oh yah, the driver did live... No one thought he would but luckily he did.
Ethan: Been there before, life and its workings can be difficult to understand, eh?
Tears: Thank you so much for replying ~. I like your name a lot...
Mark: I've been cherishing these memories a lot. Best one is of a movie they are doing a sequel on. Going to be interesting watching that movie...
Poet: Thats what I've been told, and I'm so hoping its true!
Thanks all for replying

I'm glad I came back to read what you added, a beautiful sequel to the first one.  It's comforting to be around those that can share your memories.

an old poem, with new feelings, "time health the wounds", and can be so true, its important to behold your faith,
thank you  for your comment on my poem, and I guess that what I wrote for you now, would count for me either, so I will behold my faith, and take your advice.
