Sweet Voice

Words that pour like melted butter
Maple syrup on my waffles
Five Star Brandy on my palate
Single malt Scotch
Undiminished by phone wires
Bringing new energy to my day
Awakening my synapses like Blue Mountain coffee
Addiction now is too mild a word
Like a junkie must
I need my fix
Awaiting the flash onscreen
That tells me 'call'

~You have to have a dream so you can get up in the morning.

whew, that must be one heck of a voice, Mr. Yeats, for you to expound so...deep and smooth, hummm?

Wtih an incredible comparison to a strong addiction ... you've expressed the want and anxious "need" beautifully with these delectable words Wilfred!

Best wishes,
/Kit

Bill...A voice can sometimes mean so much...you have shown that in this beautiful, sensory poem.

You should hear her voice as I hear it   thank you

Green Eyes-
Some voices we want to hear we never get to hear- others - when we do are shear magic
