As the morning grows long
Some might say
We have only wasted
The day away.

In my book it's a investment we have made
As we nutured our marriage
Laying about in bed.
Sure a busy beaver I could have been
I've been awake since ten of seven
When some money hungry man
And his jackhammer broke the "silence"
That the policewoman on the other side of the phone
Says is to last till 9am on Saturday...
(As if she cared)
But laying aside my man
And snozing off and on a bit
Making memories of loving and lust...

What an perfect way
To "waste" a day.

Now I know why LJA is so happy all the time.  You my dear are one sweet woman and if you two want to waste a day like this then I would say so be it.  Maybe you could inspire him to write one of a cowboy in love with a butterfly or something!!!!(hint hint)....Loved you verse and hope to see more from you.

SmilingAtLorelei~

Never have I seen a day
that I felt I wasted
or let slip away ...
Others may look with consternation
when I choose to spend it
in hibernation.

But ... I would do something about LongJohn's snoring -  jackhammer indeed !

Love ya', gal -

Ahhh Lorelei, it sounds like a perfectly wonderful morning ... there is nothing sweeter than the closeness and contentment you've described so beautifully! When you can tune out jackhammers, you know it's a deep and wonderful love!

Best wishes to you both,
/Kit

Lorelei,
what a wonderful way to start the day, you and LJ jackhammers beating out a rhythm  of the Congo... time for a little snuggle and maybe a horizontal dance.

What a way to waste the day.  And what a way to awaken at ten of seven.  LJA is lucky to have you. Keep nurturing your marriage and your love.  It can only become stronger.

Lil Lorelei - snoozing away, and here we've again "wasted a day."  How I love these weekends, and how I love my Lorelei.

I've changed my mind and now decided
Loving and lusting is not a waste of a day
The memories, the feelings now excited.
What a wonderful weekend of play.

Thank you one and all for your sweet comments..no jackhammers today...I've finally caught up on my sleep.

As for writing a prescription for this kind of love...do for your partner as you would have them do for you.  Kindness wears off and you get twofold in return.

ps...for Nan...where is my mermaid icon?  thanks
