surroundings ...

think
at this moment
of the human energy
being expended by
the few who choose this space
to call a second home.

truly, there is power
in the strength of the pen
yet in our chosen paths
have we come here to meet
and see where the collective
will of mankind can guide us(?)

or, seek out clarity
through community(?)

guidance -- an oddity
gravity's force even challenged --
to feel at peace with
not only our entire surroundings
but our inner confoundings

My calling before me, let quill be my offering;
For to be called poet, no greater gift to receive.

I think you have summmed the essence of this place up perfectly. Wonderful poem.

MA Miller, hello. I'm just the new kid, but anyone can spend a few minutes here and be able to feel the energy being shared. What a neat piece of writing you've composed to express your feelings...those inner confoundings are a dickens to put to rest. Take care,
