Quicksilvering

That’s what you do~

quicksilvering your way
in and out of romance~

somewhere between
taking a tango’s chance
and bull-breaking~

sleek and smooth, oh so fleeting
Montana’s winds
have nothing on you~

Cowboys put their oldest boots
on fence posts, it’s said~
not you

you quicksilver your way
into someone’s head
you do

and leave boot traces
throughout and about
tracking in one's heart
and mind~

of deep heeled knowledge
and pointed toe tenacity~

and leave the sighs
on the winds
under Montana skies~

quicksilvering their way
to heaven~

Sunshine, this was silver and moved too quickly. I had to read it a second time and loved it as much then.
Be well

Yupppp that's what cowboys do alright.  Now about this Montana "boy" hhhmmmmmm don't know about that.  Teasing, this is one beautiful piece you have presented and yeah it is true....we tend to leave them boot prints mighty mighty deep.  Hey, they make us promise to and then they school us for just that very thing before we are allowed to get our first pair of boots!!!!

Oh what a true description of a cowboy I once knew and loved. Those boots can dig themselves a hole, too, that they don't see till they fall in..
Great stuff.

Karilea~
Good ... really good.
I like the whole quick silver idea.

Wonderful thoughts ...
got that boot-scooting feel to it !
Love you, gal !
