This Morning's pleasure

This morning’s pleasure was to be
A robin perched in dogwood tree
And cheeping loudly in request
I back away from near her nest

I took another distant pose
Away from nest in arbored rose
Unpondered thoughts soon came to me
Of what would be her ecstasy

What makes her heart in pleasure sing
New fallen rain, an early spring
A breeze across a wing aslide
The freedom of a feather’s glide

Discovery of some clay to mold
A source of straw to firmly hold
A nest to place life’s offering
Survival of all three this spring

Arising with the flock in fall
As hundreds gather to the call
And flutter forth with ruffling sounds
To find their winter’s feeding grounds

Or could a robin’s ecstasy
Be perching in a dogwood tree
Just swinging there in simple bliss
On breezy sunny days like this

The magical and blessful life of Liz.  I love the way you share your visions with us.  They are so clear and so vivid that they are so easy for us to see.  Beautiful penning from you as always my friend.

This is so natural and beautiful, Elizabeth!
I love nature, and this one put me right in
the middle of a peaceful morning garden.
Great job of writing, my friend...

Today is a gift....

Oh Liz ... I just love how your thoughts flow! What a beautiful read this was ... surmising nature's thoughts, as I so often try to do myself as I watch from a distance. I absolutely loved this!

Best wishes,
/Kit

you took me back with this - to my week in Virginia on the shore of the Chesapeake- and an early morning study of Cardinals as I sat in solitude at dawn while everyone else slept - thank you

Elizabeth,
We will never know what robins think
There has never been a robin shrink.
