Although it has been a grand time here, I feel that there is a time to go away from the fantasy that we seem to find ourselves in. There has been a deal of hurt here, from simple misunderstandings to some vicous remarks made via e-mail. Jelousies over writings that are just that, writings, nothing more nothing less. I thought this a haven from real world distractions, only to have kind freinds hurt by insecure individuals whom seem to not understand the meaning of what it is to be human. I leave a bbody of work, and a greatfull heart for being published in the upcoming book. I hope one day to return, but until that time, gods graces be upon you all, for you are my family, be it good or bad.

With much love and grace
Michael Francis Gallagher

Let the beat start as it always has
for my soul is fire upon this world
your pretense sickens me
weakness has a foul stench.
You think passions gave you claim
to exude your vile ramparts.
You, yes you,whom share secrets
then twist and spit out lies,
you do not know me,
nor do you know my heart.
Reading false tales that you claim true
turning so you can hurt others,
this makes you feel above us
shamefull adulations give you strength.
So now listen quick
as I say this only once for puny minds
I am from a better time than you
a place you can only dream of
where devils and angels play as one
dancing to the heavy beat of drums.
Where we became the very thing we saw
and gave good grace amongst those wrongs
leading to a nights grand extasy
as hands touched others in gleaming satin.
I found love and gave my own freely
for which you seem bent on destroying.
So farewell to you and your kind
your stench has won over
I find peace in rythms of my time
and love those who share them.

Now this is fiery...steam is rising up from the screen as I type.  Very powerful, Michael G...and I've a fondness for fire.

Now this is some poem, passionate, and burning with heat, I too have a passion for fire. This is a fantastic read, so amazingly powerful, I love this.
In fact it's so hot I think there's been a flashback.
Wonderful writing

Michael-I am sorry to see you go as I too am a fan of your works.  I know that I did not reply to alot of them and for that I am sorry but please know that JM showed me some of your works and I was captivated.  For you to leave I could understand and accept but for you to leave under these circumstances all I can say is I DO understand but cannot accept the fact that there are those out there (IN HERE) that just want to have the world bow down to them and think that romance and Passion belong to them.  Wonderful write and I hope that someday you will return and have a much more peaceful time here.  Much power and conviction in your words.

~When Words Become Weapons~

Echoes in the distance
envy and deceit respond
Facade of voices whisper
Breaking boundaries ... breaking bonds

They stand in the shadows
Pointing fingers ... picking parts
Weaving webs of pain and sorrow
From their battered broken hearts

Innuendo steals inspiration
As innocence pleads and cries
trust is lost in the despair
patience drowns in all the lies

No matter what the difference
No matter what the cost
When words become our weapons
All that's beautiful is lost.

for Michael~

So many times now ...
your words and grace touched my heart
My poetic souls reflection
I'll hold you close while we're apart

Your poetry is a gift
a window on your gentle spirit so rare
your words are like wind blown whispers
quiet comfort found in the love you share

Go if you must ...
hold this time in your memory
thank you for the wisdom shared
thank you for sharing you with me

find your way back soon ...
thank you for the gifts of poetry you gave me
and for the times we wrote togehter
you inspired me to write at a higher level

This is upsetting to say the least! I was not aware of anything like this.  I wish you'd speak to one of the Moderators here, for harrasment will not be tolerated by other members.  (if that's what has been happening by email?)

I hope you don't go! And I hope this can be resolved!

WhtDove is right - We adhere to a policy of "mutual respect" here at Passions.  We don't tolerate public malignment of our members.  If you've experience such in the forums, please let us know.  If it's been happening privately, we'll do all we can to help.  Hang in there, Michael..

You penned some very passionate feelings. It's obvious you are a part of us...if you won't change your mind, then I do wish you luck. Please check your email.

I am very sorry it had to come to this Michael.  I am however, glad that you had the guts to say something about this ongoing and crippling problem that just keeps plagueing Passions.

Know one will miss your poetry and your wonderful heart here more then I.

Hugs and much love,
Marina

Michael...I have enjoyed your work immensely.
I do hope that you will reconsider...and y'know...sooner or later, you've got to make up your mind to write ANYWAY...and I do so hope that you will...hugs.

I have my own reasons for applauding you. . .

But you cannot leave. . . then they would win. . . stay. . .

Excellent poem. . . truer words were never spoken. . . a lesson to be learned here, let's just hope that it doesn't get missed. . .

Superb. . .

This was an excellent poem, I am sorry to
know you are leaving just as I'm arriving.
The most insecure individuals are often the ones that try the hardest to create unbalance for others...sad pathetic way to live. I wish you the best!
