she hath spoken to me
since the dawn of time

I have known her in her many guises
        through our many lives

muse
        wife
                poet
                        mother
                                   daughter
                                                goddess

in each one, she revealeth herself to me
and in each one, I findeth mine heart
                    in her hands

she giveth of her heart freely
she speaketh to me in the softest
    and gentlest of tones
her voice cometh to me like unto a
            Seraphim of the highest order

her very presence in time dispeleth the
            darkness
for it is fixed in the mind of every
poet that picketh up the quill of life
                    to write of his heart

she speaketh

"gentle poet of mine heart
let my words guide thee to the unknown shore
though we cannot know each other in this
                                    time and place
                            surely we can in eternity"

and so, I, the poet graspeth my quill in response
        to her voice
                her song
                    her words
        and they becometh mine own
filtered through mine heart like
drops from the river of life

I remembereth her

she is the love I have
        the love I hath lost
                the love I hath found
the love I hath yet to find

thus she will always be
        I will knoweth her name
I will knoweth not her name
and her presence will warm mine heart and soul
like the rays of yon sun in highest heaven
I will carryeth her
        and she will lifteth me

she remembereth me

                                                the unknown muse

the light of the universe. . .

Sven,

Your muse has done very well in inspiring you for this one.  It is lovely my friend.  In my opinion, your best yet.

Excellent writing . . .

has anyone told you lately that you excel in exactly this type of poetry...?

everyone has their "style" and this suits you well...

My dear gentle friend. This is so tender, but so much more than that. I felt my very spirit being moved as I read it. What a warm and beautiful heart that beats inside you. Glorious read my friend.
