I sit here and think of God,
questioning where my mortality goes.
The ebb and flow of life
wash by as I listen,

Pondering and wondering while always
standing by.

The paralysis of indecision
keeps my heart locked,
hidden from another's love,
and Other's grace.

Why did I choose to fall so far?
Maybe only from the bottom of
myself, I can appreciate the light.

This page fills and I ponder more.
I know the path and I know the choice

My flesh is knowing,
but my spirit unable.

Maybe only from the bottom of
myself, I can appreciate the light.

That is so true.  Sometimes you must hit bottom before you can appreciate certain things fully, and God's love seems to be one of these things.  Great piece and God bless.

"Why did I choose to fall so far?"
People think they have fallen from God's graces everyday but they are blessed when they are touched and awaken to see another day.  "The flesh is knowing, but the spirit is unable."  All one has to do is make a commitment to God.  They only need to ask for forgiveness and be sincere.
Excellent poem.

I do believe you've just described what I've been feeling for quite a while now!  If I said that it hit home, it would be a gross understatement!  Excellent writing!  Thank you for sharing!!

Quite the ponder for sure.
