Thank you both.
I hope death isn't really like that.

This was great and a double acrostic! Very inventive!

As to your question, you hope death is not really like this, well it's not.

We don't lie waiting in any grave. Only our flesh does, as we won't need it anymore.

(Ashes to ashes, dust to dust) Ecclesiastes 12:7  Then shall the dust (body) return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it.

verse 13-14  Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear (revere, to be in awe of) God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man. 14) For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.

2Corinthians 5:8 We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body (flesh), and to be present with the Lord.
Read verse 10 as well.

I see a lot of questioning, and unsureties in your work. I'm no scholar, but I've studied for many years. If you have any interest in understanding death better, let me know. I'd be glad to help you with scripture!  Just give me an email

This is artist and indeed inventive!
Thank God we won't have to lie naked in a grave and know it.
Whtdove states it very well.

rosepetals25,
Thank you, as many others do, I'm sure, I don't always write what I believe.  In fact, I almost never do.  If you like the thought of reincarnation, I do have a poem that can be interpeted that way.  It is call "From Dark to Light".  If your interested it can be found in O P #9.

BloomingRose,
Thank you, and yes thank God.  The idea of this rotting, concious death came from an old Tales From the Crypt, I think.

Love is the law, love under will.
