~*His Eyes*~
-Amy M. Kennedy-

This poem is about my Dad. I was adopted at the age of six. I love my father more than words can say. He is truly a gift from God and I can't even begin to express what he means to me.

The day started out like all others
Woke to the sun streaming in my eyes
But then I quickly remembered
It was the beginning of my new family ties

We met in the park
On that fateful day
And with kind blue eyes
I was shown a new way

A new way of living
What its meant to be truly loved
It was on that day
I recieved my greatest gift of above

We have been through so much
Lots has happened over the years
Shared some of our best and worst times
An abundance of laughter and tears

You're more than my Dad
You're one of my best friends
My torn broken heart
You managed to mend

You have been my rock
From the very start
You're caring and funny
Compassionate and smart

Without you Daddy
I don't know what I'd do
And I just wanted you to know
How much I love you.

Wow what a lovely tribute to your dad. Your heart glows off the page and THERE IS NO DOUBT OF THE LOVE YOU HAVE FOR HIM.  Beautiful verse from you.

Amy~
This is indeed a wonderful kiss for your dad.
One thing I can tell you, gal ...
he'll be there for you time and again.
Lovely way to *hug* him.
