Peering through the darkness, I try to find my way-
Through a life of chaos, I drift from day to day.
Tell me what the future holds, oh, help me if you can…
To try and find a pathway for a sad and lonely man.

Fantasies surrounds me, of love, and joy, and bliss-
Songs, and poems, and fairytales, all tell us what we miss.
This world lies in confusion, with strife on every hand…
There are no more delusions for sad and lonely man.

Prisons overcrowded, there is panic in the streets…
Pain, and doubt, and fear on almost every face you meet.
The agony and sorrow, more than mortal flesh can stand…
These are the observations of a sad and lonely man.

Oh, I could tell you stories, of how it used to be.
When things looked so much brighter to a dreamer such as me.
Reality has took it’s toll, and time has left it’s brand…
I walk the path which lies before the sad and lonely man.

"You come into this life crying, while the world rejoices. Your goal in life should be to live it in such a fashion, as to leave this world rejoicing,

Interesting post on the state of society today.  It kinda leaves me wondering what it will be like for me to look back on the way things used to be as I grow older.  Nice post.
