Of Love

The kiss is sweet
Our bodies meet
We feel the touch Of Love

In our Journey
On roads smooth and rocky
We learn our strength Of Love

To the future
We promise forever
To give our Vows Of Love

Down the Isle
The Wedding recital
We accept the Bonds Of Love

The gold we carry
To honour and cherish
Is our Pledge Of Love

When we throw away
Those vows we say
We release the Rings Of Love

James Parker Haley   (c)

Hi Parker, my extreamly talented friend Dee said your writing was worth a visit, and has she got good taste? If she hasn't then I'm a sweet young thing who's never been kissed? Great poem, enjoy the wedding, actually I always think the guests have a far better time than the bride and groom. I liked this a lot. take care

And now the master poet types in the purity of white.  Been studying have you my friend. I have a feeling that there will be no stopping you now.  Excellent write as usual and as long as you keep your hands off the bride and don't sweep her off her feet with your poetry then I have no doubt that they will be happy for a long long time to come.

Marina, yes I think so they seem very much in love....

Severn, thank you I will and did.

dg, ah she's much too tall for me...

Corinne, thank you sweet poet.

Marsha, hmmmmm tell me more.

SEA, yes I know.... thanks.

Spitfire, yes the devil side of me always gets me in trouble...

Mark, well I think the brides fairly safe from me being my first cousin and all...
And the white I thought should go with a poem about love, maybe I should have written one with a nice happy ending..... as for the studying...well I've had my hand help in the creation of a rainbow or two...
