~Mystery In The Night~

Stretched out over the balcony
she peers in the dark
full moon cast a glow on this scene
sound of hooves beat the ground...
She steps back behind the vail of the curtain
certain her long red hair blowing in the wind
has given her away...
Her gown damp from the night air, barely a cover
his horse thunders to a stop under her window
come out my love...
She dares to step away, not knowing where it will
lead
he gasp for breath at the sight of her glowing beauty,
her flowing red hair, a rare sight on this moonlit night
In one swoop he pulls her to him on the saddle,
off they ride, the mystery subsides...
the evening tide carries them out to the endless sea, forever to be as one

WOW....the mystery to me is how you continue to write with such vivid imagery and imagination.  This was a superb piece of fantasy becoming real.  Love it much.

This is a beautiful piece.  I can see all the things you describe. You write wonderfully for the senses.

Oh yes. . .this one is just wonderful. . . the images leap out at me from the page. . . and I can hear the horse as it gallops out of sight. . .

Excellent. . . just wonderful. . .

This is wonderful!  It's like something out of a Harlequin novel.  This is a beautiful piece of poetry.
