In The Tides Of My Dreams

The ripples crash upon the shore
In tender kisses, nothing more
Each wave in gentle cadence rings
As in my sleep, my true love sings
I feel him now, here by the lake
As from my dreams, I slowly wake
His words, how soft, they call to me
Here on the shore of endless sea
Wake me not tonight my love
In quiet whispers from above
Just hold me close inside your mind
Leave the pain of past behind
Meet me in my dreams tonight
Then pull me close by morning light

I fear that if I was in anyone's dreams, they'd be nightmares! *G*

This is great, Hoot!!! It got a longing sigh and a double read. *S*

Ruth - Very visual poetry - I could see you sleeping there, sweetly nuzzling your pillow, one leg hanging off the bed, hair all mussed up, a little drool seeping from the corner of your mouth, soft snores and whistles, yellowish filmy stuff in the corners of your eyes, one hand under your pillow, you laying on the other arm with that hand scratching your inner thigh.... lovely, simply lovely - lol.  I DO love this poem, BTW.  It realy flows well.

Belle - You know what, Lady?  Sometimes it hurts me when you put yourself down, because I think you are one of the loveliest people in here.  Just a friendly little chasitising of somebody I think is grand.  OK?

This is the poem I've written in my mind so many times (Not exactly - I'd want to be wakened) With your permission I'll send it with your name - saying Ruth speaks for me.

~You have to have a dream so you can get up in the morning.

Ruth, seeing the beauty of a poem by you brings back so many wonderful thoughts of days I waited with anticipation for anything you wrote..those were the days, my friend...it's great to see you

WOW!  I've had this kind of sleepy half asleep half awake moment of being in love. I've just never described it nearly so well!
